Corian® is a material that never stops evolving. Once synonymous with crisp whites and minimalist surfaces, its palette has become increasingly rich in movement, depth and natural character. Now, Corian® Design has launched its 2026 Nature in Motion collection, taking that evolution further with seven new colours spanning travertine-inspired patterns, deep earthy browns and softer mineral neutrals.

At Riluxa, Corian® plays a central role in many of our bespoke bathroom collections, from vanity units and washbasins to shower trays and bathtubs. Working closely with homeowners, architects and interior designers, we've seen this shift first-hand: clients increasingly want the visual richness of natural materials without giving up the non-porous properties, design flexibility and virtually seamless fabrication that make Corian® so versatile. Here, we take a closer look at the seven new colours, the design trends behind them and the possibilities they open up for contemporary bathrooms.

The Nature in Motion collection reflects several major shifts currently shaping interior architecture and material specification. Across residential, hospitality and wellness-focused projects, designers are increasingly looking for surfaces that do more than simply perform well - materials are now expected to shape atmosphere, influence how a space feels and contribute to its overall architectural identity.

1. Biophilic Design

Biophilic design is an approach that aims to connect people with nature by bringing natural elements, light and organic materials into built spaces.

Across contemporary interiors, biophilic design is extending beyond the introduction of plants and greenery to influence the materials themselves. Surfaces inspired by stone, minerals and other naturally occurring formations bring the irregularity, movement and visual depth of the natural world into the interior.

Many of the new Corian® colours respond to this direction through layered mineral patterns and organic movement inspired by natural stone. Rather than reproducing nature literally, the new colours reinterpret its movement, depth and variation through the distinctive possibilities of Corian®.

2. The Return of Warm, Earth-Led Palettes

Colour is shifting too. Cool whites and greys are increasingly giving way to earth-led palettes of sand, limestone, taupe and deep brown, bringing greater warmth and richness to contemporary bathrooms.

The new Corian® collection embraces this direction across a surprisingly broad spectrum, from pale mineral neutrals to the depth of Artista Mocha and City Roast. These warmer tones also open up interesting combinations with materials such as natural wood, brushed metals and stone, giving designers greater freedom to build layered, tonal schemes rather than relying on contrast.

3. Materials as Atmosphere

These richer surfaces are also being used differently. Rather than appearing as isolated accents, materials are increasingly carried across larger areas and multiple elements within the same room, from vanity units and countertops to shower trays, built-in furniture and wall cladding.

Used at this scale, the surface becomes part of the architecture of the bathroom itself. Extending a material across different elements can establish visual continuity, reduce the number of competing finishes and give the room a much stronger sense of identity. Corian® makes this particularly interesting, allowing the same colour and pattern to continue from countertops into washbasins, across vanity edges and around curves, all with virtually invisible joins.

4. Sustainability Expectations are Expanding

Sustainability is increasingly about longevity as well as material composition. Choosing surfaces that can withstand years of use, be repaired when damaged and renewed rather than replaced can help extend the life of an interior and reduce unnecessary material waste.

This is one of Corian®'s less obvious strengths. As a solid surface, scratches and damage can often be repaired and the material restored, while selected colours also incorporate recycled content. For bathrooms designed to last, that combination of durability, repairability and renewability adds another dimension to the sustainability conversation.

The seven new colours span three of Riluxa's Corian® groupings: Stone Aesthetic, Artista and Nature Inspired, reflecting the different patterns, material references and visual characteristics within the collection. All seven are available now to order as material samples.

Three of the new colours join our Stone Aesthetic collection: Travertine Roma, Travertine Firenze and City Roast, each drawing on the depth and character of natural mineral surfaces in a distinctly different way.

At Riluxa, we are particularly excited to see Corian® Design introduce a dedicated travertine-inspired collection. Travertine has become one of the defining materials of contemporary interiors, driven by a growing preference for warmer, more tactile spaces over the cool minimalism that dominated for much of the last decade. It's one of the natural stones our clients return to time and again, appreciated for its ability to complement both contemporary and classic bathrooms.

Rather than attempting to replicate natural travertine exactly, the new Corian® finishes reinterpret its layered character and architectural rhythm in a material that can be shaped very differently. Patterns can continue from a vanity surface into the washbasin, follow a waterfall edge or wrap around a curve, while the smooth, non-porous surface avoids the natural pores and voids of travertine. For Riluxa, this creates exciting possibilities across vanity units, shower trays, washbasins and bath surrounds, retaining the warmth and architectural character of travertine while giving designers far greater freedom to shape the bathroom as a whole.

Inspired by the linear structure of vein-cut travertine, Travertine Roma brings architectural rhythm to contemporary bathrooms. As one of Corian®'s directional patterns, its movement follows a consistent orientation across the sheet rather than a dispersed mineral pattern. This allows the layered bands to be carefully aligned across washbasins, waterfall vanity edges and curved forms, creating seamless monolithic designs with a level of continuity that would be difficult to achieve in natural stone.

Travertine Firenze offers a softer interpretation of travertine, with broader, more diffuse bands and fine mineral detail across the surface. Its quieter movement works particularly well across wall cladding and larger vanity surfaces, bringing warmth and texture while allowing statement tapware, natural wood or stronger architectural forms to take the lead.

Rather than relying on veining, City Roast builds depth through densely layered light-toned particulates suspended within a rich brown base. Its deep, earthy tone works beautifully with soft beiges, warm ivories, muted taupes and natural wood, offering a sophisticated way to introduce darker surfaces into the bathroom without resorting to stark contrast. Like several colours within the new collection, City Roast also incorporates recycled content.

Artista Collection

The two new Artista colours explore opposite ends of the palette. Artista Drift is light and understated, while Artista Mocha introduces a much deeper, richer brown. What connects them is the layered character of the Artista collection, where subtle veining and fine mineral detail bring movement and depth to the surface.

More open and understated than Mocha, Artista Drift uses delicate mineral particulates and a soft chalky base to gently animate large surfaces. It introduces just enough variation to soften a space visually compared to a flat solid colour, while still maintaining a calm, tonal consistency across walls, countertops and bathroom furniture. Like the other surfaces within the Artista collection, it also incorporates recycled content.

Built around a rich limestone-inspired aesthetic, Artista Mocha combines soft veining with cooler mineral particulates to create a surface with remarkable depth and warmth. Across larger surfaces, it creates a rich, layered appearance without overwhelming the space. The inclusion of recycled content further reinforces its appeal within projects where sustainability and material longevity are increasingly important considerations.

Nature-Inspired Neutrals

The Vasto colours reflect a growing preference for quieter, more tonal interiors, where texture and movement are revealed gradually through changing light rather than dramatic contrast. Their softly layered veining feels particularly suited to serene, nature-inspired bathrooms built around natural materials and restrained palettes.

Positioned between a classic neutral and a statement stone, Vasto Greige introduces soft flowing movement without dominating the space. With its balanced veining on an off-white base, we can see this working especially well within projects where clients want the calmness of a classic neutral, but with slightly more movement and material depth.

Vasto Laguna combines soft sandy veining with delicate blue-grey mineral tones inspired by weathered coastal stone. Drawing on the same Laguna Blue found elsewhere within the Corian® collection, it pairs beautifully with warmer neutrals, natural woods and softer stone palettes to create bathrooms that feel calm, layered and visually cohesive.
