A new chapter for one of our most recognisable designs – meet the Gaia, now reimagined in freestanding form.
For years, the Gaia has been one of Riluxa’s most recognisable pieces – a quiet icon of bathroom design. Defined by its minimalist silhouette, generous storage and clean geometry, it has become a favourite among clients seeking elegant, made-to-measure bathroom cabinets and vanities with a serene, architectural presence.
Until now, the Gaia collection has been offered in two distinct installation styles: wall-mounted and with legs. Today, we’re excited to launch a new evolution of this signature design: the Gaia Freestanding range. Resting directly on the floor, this latest format brings grounded elegance to the collection, offering a sculptural presence that’s both visually striking and incredibly practical.

Grounded Elegance, Same Gaia DNA
While the new version rests on the floor, it retains the essential DNA of the original Gaia – refined lines, handcrafted quality and a serene, uncluttered character. A recessed base gives the cabinet a subtly floating feel, while the option to add our bold Edge frame brings architectural depth and contrast.
The result? A piece that feels timeless yet fresh. Familiar, but newly adaptable.
Freestanding Bathroom Furniture Tailored to Your Space
The Gaia Freestanding collection includes both cabinets (perfect for pairing with wall-mounted basins) and freestanding vanity units (with integrated Corian® basins) – all made to measure. Each format offers smart, sculptural freestanding bathroom storage, combining clean design with generous drawer space.
Vanity units are available in two different drawer configurations:
2-drawer – paired with a 12cm deep Corian® basin
3-drawer – paired with our 12mm slimline Corian® vanity top
Both formats are designed to meet ergonomic guidelines across Europe and the US, placing the basin at a comfortable 85–90cm height from the finished floor – ideal for daily use. The choice between two or three drawers gives you flexibility in both storage and overall look – without disrupting the clean proportions of the piece.
All Gaia products are handcrafted in Riluxa’s Valencia workshop and made to order in your choice of size, material and configuration.

Choose your Material, Define your Aesthetic
Each model in the Gaia Freestanding collection is available in three distinct finishes:
- Corian® – A luxurious solid surface available in over 100 colours for a seamless, sculptural look
- Wood – Sustainably sourced solid oak with rich grain and natural depth, offered in Pure, Light or Dark tones
- Classic (lacquered wood) – Lacquered engineered wood, offered in matte, satin or high gloss. Choose white or personalise with your preferred colour (from over 2,000!)
Three handle options, one seamless aesthetic – J-pull, 45° and push-to-open.
Choose from three elegant handle styles – J-pull, 45° angled or discreet push-to-open – each preserving the clean lines of the Gaia design. Inside, high-spec GRASS metal runners offer full-extension access and a soft-close finish, reflecting the precision behind every Gaia unit.
