Introducing Lofty Black: Our Archiproducts Design Award Nominated Bathtub

There are few awards for architecture and interiors more desirable than an Archiproducts Design Award. For over 15 years, the Archiproducts editorial team has annually selected the world’s finest examples of contemporary design and the products that populate their longlists are always utterly inspirational. So, it’s with no small amount of delight and trepidation that Riluxa has been nominated for one in 2019.

Introducing Lofty Black: Our Archiproducts Design Award Nominated Bathtub

Our Lofty Black bathtub – part of the Galfia collection – has been deemed worthy of a mention within the same space as products designed by the likes of Barber & Osgerby, Matteo Thun & Partners and Roberto Lazzeroni. (Some lofty competition, right there, no pun intended.) And we could not be more delighted.

The concept for the deep, rectangular, freestanding tub was conjured-up by our gifted Head Office Design team in beautiful Valencia and it has been an outstanding seller for us on the continent, thanks to its sleek elevation, hyper stylised black-and-white colour contrast and stunning, matt-finished, Solid Surface material composition. Now, fresh off the back of its arrival in the UK market, it goes before some of the toughest judges in the design industry.

Inspirational figures such as Architect Manuel Aires Mateus (founder of Portuguese firm Aire Mateus & Associados), Interior Designer Anne Sophie Goneau (founder of Canadian firm AS Goneau Design) and Architect Satoshi Kurosaki (founder of Japanese firm APOLLO) will be poring over every detail of our design choices. Ensuring that we deliver on construction quality, functionality, aesthetic value and that intangible wow factor that turns stunning products into award-winning products.

We go into the competition without expectation, but with the confidence that we have designed a bathtub that oozes luxury, indulgence and relaxation in every way. Well, just take a look at it. Beautiful, isn’t it? And, whether we bring home the trophy or not, we’re just thrilled to have been considered.
