The best thing you can do in the first instance is work out your total budget and how much of that you want to spend on fixtures and fittings and then see what’s leftover. If you find it gives you plenty to spend on plumbing and installation, then you might want to splurge on some more luxurious bathroom products. If you find yourself coming up short on the cost of installing the bathroom, you’re going to have to make the choice between DIY fitting or cutting back a bit on the lavishness of your bathroom products.

As a guide, here’s what you’ll be looking at spending on having your bathroom fitted by a professional in 2021.

One of the very best ways of making sure you get the best quote for the job (and it might even help you to find lower quotes than those detailed above) is to let tradespeople bid for the job on the MyJobQuote website. Every tradesman who bids has a rating based on the number of reviews their customers have given them, so you can judge whether or not they’re going to be up to the standards you demand.

The great thing is, if you get a few different quotes, you get to pick and choose. Saves having multiple tradesmen coming to your house and quoting there and then and they tend to have to stick to roughly what they quote for the sake of their good reviews, unless you wildly mislead them as to the level of work needed (which it’s terribly bad form to do, as the best tradespeople won’t want to come work for you if they see you’re a difficult customer).

Good luck with your renovation project!
